Researchers from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), in collaboration with the Lalla Salma Foundation (Rabat, Morocco) and the Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI; Kolkata, India), organized a comprehensive training programme on colposcopy and management of cervical precancers on 9–12 December 2024. The training was hosted by the CNCI Hospital in Kolkata, India.
The goal of this initiative was to strengthen the capacity of health-care professionals in cervical cancer prevention. A total of 11 general practitioners from Morocco participated in the training, gaining essential knowledge and hands-on skills to enhance their practice in cervical cancer screening and early detection.
This collaborative effort highlights the commitment of IARC and its partners to address global health priorities and promote effective strategies for cancer prevention and control.
